CORRECTION: Love Island Season 3 is Not the Best
Despite being the entire backbone of UV’s Diversions section this month, Associate Diversions Editor Harry Myles (1L) made a grave mistake in his piece “What to Watch: The Best Reality Dating Shows for This Winter.” Season 3 of Love Island UK is objectively not the best season, as confirmed by several experts. Diversions Editor and dedicated Love Island UK binger Adrienne Ralph (2L) explains: “I could barely make it to the finale of Season 3; Season 2 is clearly the most elite. Cultural commentary on double standards, well-deserving winners, and cheaters getting yelled at in posh accents, what more could you want? Disclaimer: this critique is of everything about Season 3 except Islander Camilla Thurlow, who is a, if not the, top-tier Islander.” Further, according to a highly scientific article in Bustle, Season 3 ranks fourth out of the five seasons that had aired at the time.
Diversions Reigns Supreme
For probably the first time in UV’s history, Diversions is the section with the most pieces this month. 2020 has been a year of plot twists, and this may just be the biggest one. We are honoured and humbled to be in this position, and will be accepting any and all congratulations gifts, just email editor@ultravires.ca to arrange delivery.
