When the puzzle is solved, each digit from 1 to 7 will appear exactly once in each row and column. Each “cage”—a block outlined in bold—must contain only digits that produce the labelled number using the labelled mathematical operation. The order of digits within a cage does not matter. Digits can be repeated within a cage as long as they appear only once in each row and column.
